Well back again after quite awhile yeath back on line if anybody is interested out there! Anyway todays subject is about addiction. As you know there are many kinds : drugs which would include cigarrettes,cigars ,pipe, tabbaco ,snuff , alcohol, sweets ,sex , workaholic buying mania, religion,gambling,video games and the list can go on and on, At the moment I am determined to win with my addiction of tabacco in the second day and no desire but I wont speak to soon any way these are the topics and Ill be blogging in daily.dave
Having a beer in Regensburg
Dave Bonney, born in New York on 09/11/1951, is an American singer songwriter living in Regensburg, Germany. He grew up in Brooklyn Heights, tried his hand at most things including the Regis Paper Co. but realized his passion was music. After leaving the USA in the 80's he made his home in Europe traveling through Holland and Belgium until he ended up in France. He married a French girl and they moved to Munich, Germany where they brought up two sons. Dave worked for a time with Ralf Segel as a songwriter. Since then he has worked and lived in Germany as a street musician, in bars and clubs and is also a recording artist. After dropping out of the scene following the break up of his marriage and the death of his mother and father in New York he found it more and more difficult to get work and ended up on the welfare. He is allowed to make small change entertaining shoppers on the streets of Regensburg and he does this on a regular basis. He has to pay for a street musicians license each day and the weather dictates how much he can earn. At 56 I think it is time for him to reap the fruits of his labor. Dave has recorded music and published CD's but the advertising and marketing of these gems has always been secondary to playing live. He is now living hand to mouth and wonders where he went wrong. "If only the people could hear the music ..." he muses. So, I am writing this to start an action called "Save Dave". He doesn't want charity or handouts although I think that's what he really needs for Christmas. He just wants you to hear his music and make up your own mind.
