 Well back again after quite awhile yeath back on line if anybody is

Dave Bonney, born in New York on 09/11/1951, is an American singer songwriter living in Regensburg, Germany. He grew up in Brooklyn Heights, tried his hand at most things including the Regis Paper Co. but realized his passion was music. After leaving the USA in the 80's he made his home in Europe traveling through Holland and Belgium until he ended up in France. He married a French girl and they moved to Munich, Germany where they brought up two sons. Dave worked for a time with Ralf Segel as a songwriter. Since then he has worked and lived in Germany as a street musician, in bars and clubs and is also a recording artist.

After dropping out of the scene following the break up of his marriage and the death of his mother and father in New York he found it more and more difficult to get work and ended up on the welfare. He is allowed to make small change entertaining shoppers on the streets of Regensburg and he does this on a regular basis. He has to pay for a street musicians license each day and the weather dictates how much he can earn. At 56 I think it is time for him to reap the fruits of his labor.

Dave has recorded music and published CD's but the advertising and marketing of these gems has always been secondary to playing live. He is now living hand to mouth and wonders where he went wrong. "If only the people could hear the music ..." he muses. So, I am writing this to start an action called "Save Dave". He doesn't want charity or handouts although I think that's what he really needs for Christmas. He just wants you to hear his music and make up your own mind. just got my website back and I am about to have a birthday so things are looking up. Played a Gig in Munich on Monday (Sept 3) with Jim Klopfenstein. It was a blast. Train there and back was a bit tedious though. Anyone want to be my roadie give ma a call...

Hi well its almost Christmas a very strange time of year so many things happen I was playing in a blizzard yesterday the case was full of snow as well for the cds I was trying to sell I was very angry because the organ grinder musician was there in one of the best places and wouldnt move however I was determined and did my thing what Im trying to say is many people sit on gold and dont even know it and a guy who bought my cd told me its the best he has heard in ages thats a compliment think on that and believe in yourselves and dont let fear rule you,

Well here I am again, April was good with Harley Davidson, and also recently winning the forth place in the Country contest. However at the moment no jobs so many offers and what is positive? I think that in this business the only person you can rely on is yourself cause you cant get down.
